Into The Roots Bonus Ritual: How To Make A Root Chakra Nourishing Gem Essence

Energy Body 101: Into The Roots (part 1) If you listened to the first part in our Energy Body Series on The Podcast, Angel Face Magic Hour, here is a bonus ritual for you to connect with the Root Center.

If you missed it, I am doing a Series going through the Energy Body and exploring topics related to each Energetic Center, through the perspective of the 7 Chakra Centers.

Have you ever made a essence? You might have heard of a flower essence, but have you heard of a gem essence, a color essence? Today we’re gonna be making one together using gems and color magic to nourish the Root Chakra and support grounding, energetic protection and the connection to our bodies. You can watch the video version above but i’m gonna break it down for you in this blog.

First you will need your ingredients:

1 Quart Size Mason Jar or Tall Glass for drinking water (we will be filling this almost to the brim with filtered drinking water)

Root Chakra Supportive Crystals: we used Smokey Quartz and Red Jasper, other suggestions include Black Tourmaline, Onyx, or Clear Quartz.

One colored Red cloth (can be patterned) such as a head scarf or tea towel, something small and light weight.

Alternately you could use a Red Piece of Construction Paper or Computer Paper Colored Red, Clear Tape or Red Washi Tape

Apple Cider Vinegar or 80 Proof or higher Vodka or Alcohol of Choice (this is used for preservation purposes)

Now Let’s Make Some Healing Magic!!

Step 1: Firstly you want to make sure you glass is clean and if anyone besides yourself will be consuming this medicine I advise sterilizing your glass ahead of time, you can also cleanse them energetically if you want to add another element into the mix.

Step 2: Adhere your cloth or piece of paper to the outside of your glass

Step 3: Fill your glass with water almost to the Brim

Step 4: Place a lid on your jar and lay your crystals on top on your mason jar, if crystals are food safe you can insert them directly into the water (PLEASEEEEE DO YOUR RESEARCH BECAUSE SOME CRYSTALS ARE HIGHLY TOXIC TO DRINK OR CONSUME INTERNALLY)

Step 5: Place jar in windowsill or outside in direct sunlight, for 1-4 hours, drink up and enjoy !!!!

Step 6: If you are looking to preserve this essence for continual use, fill up the top of your jar with apple cider vinegar or alcohol (vodka, tequila etc NOT rubbing alcohol). Place in your fridge and use to make your essence ratio. I explain this process further in the video, but the idea is that jar we created is now your base, our mother essence, and from that you will use a smaller dropper bottle to administer the dosage for yourself, meaning you will take a small dropper bottle, fill it half way with your essence cocktail and fill the rest up with filtered water, then you can take 2-6 drops under the tongue 1-3 times a day for continual use.

Essences are Energy Medicine, so their effects are subtle and that’s why it can be beneficial to take a small dose for a longer period of time to really see the effects and the benefits.

Holy Fire Reiki Part 2

What is Holy Fire Reiki? Part 2:

Flash forward to 2010s, A man named William Rand, who was a Reiki teacher and curious student studying many different lineages included Traditional Reiki before going on to create is own unique brand of Reiki, which would eventually be called Holy Fire Reiki (there’s a whole thing with numbers, so technically it is Holy Fire Reiki 3 that I am trained in but I think that makes it all the more confusing 😭)

Rand would go on to begin working with a medium and spiritual healer, Colleen Binelli, which is where some of his visions could truly come to life and have a second opinion when it came to the development of the system of Holy Fire, and this is where the connection to Jesus, Holy Spirit and other “masters” of light which in Holy Fire Reiki they call the Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Light, personally I think of these as Ascended Masters or Spirit Guides here to assist with the practice of Energetic Healing through Reiki and Meditation.

Here’s where a see a slight difference between the traditional methods of Reiki and Holy Fire Healing, in traditional Reiki your teacher, The Reiki Master, is the one that brings you the connection to Reiki and in Holy Fire it is the Reiki itself, or Spirit/ Source/ God(whatever u wanna know it as)that “attunes” you to this healing frequency, the idea is that there isn’t a go between between you and this frequency, kinda like in religion you have to go to the priest or pastor to speak to God, you had to go through a teacher to receive these activations and now the teacher just acts as a conduit, to show you how and why you would want to connect, to ask questions, to honor the traditions and Magic of the practice, but they are not above you they are aligned with you and that’s the difference I see and love about Holy Fire is the unification of both student and teacher, the ability for this Reiki to unfold other gifts of the authentic self and to help us navigate life in a very difficult era of human existence, Reiki will not solve all your problems but it will get you to the place where you feel grounded and assured enough in yourself that you can begin to see and understand the solutions.

Holy Fire Reiki Part 1

Part 1: What is Holy Fire Reiki and what the heck does it have to do with Jesus and the Holy Spirit ?

Firstly Holy Fire Reiki and Reiki in general is not a religious practice and does not originate from any form of Christianity.

This is a subject I find very very interesting!

So back about 100 years ago Reiki, which is a form of energetic healing was “discovered” by a Japanese man named Mikao Usui, later in the historical line/ lineage of Reiki, a woman named Hawayo Hiromi Takata, A Japanese American woman from Hawaii, then studied in Japan and brought these traditions to Hawaii and eventually the rest of the United States, where it branched out further and further into different schools of thought different lineages and different areas of the world.

Reiki is just one form of energetic healing, but there is some magic and lore around the idea that hands on healing was something practiced by Jesus, The Buddha and other Human Masters throughout the world.

Does this mean Reiki is the same practice Jesus practiced?

Maybe?

We will never truly know and like a lot of subjects and ideas within mysticism and energy practices, a lot of it is based on peoples lived experiences and personal gnosis.

What THEY BELIEVE to be true.

Whenever I share spiritual information it is from my lense and my understanding and experiences which could be very different than yours.

So this is all about building your personal understanding of the practice and what it means to you.

Now let’s go back to Mrs. Takata, Reiki was and still mostly is a mystery tradition, meaning you have to be initiated into the practice and alot of the symbols and practices are considered “secret”, a lot of that has changed throughout the last 100 years but that’s a whole other post.

When Mrs. Takata began sharing her information about Reiki and teaching others there is some history and stories around the idea that Usui, was a Christian Minister.

So let’s think about history here, why would Reiki and Usui be framed as a Christian Practice?

1940s US, a practice from Japan… I think history can tell her why these stories were told and why that kept this practice “safe”

Mediumship Readings

A big part of my life shifted when I realized and accepted that I was a Medium.

Learning to navigate this skill has been quite interesting and it’s definitely a life long learning.

To know when to close the barriers and just be human.

To get calls and messages from the spirit world outside of the office and decide what is inside and outside of your boundaries.

Even if it’s feels bizarre and sometimes scary, loud and distracting at times, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I’m so grateful for my connection to the spirit realm, I am one of those people who truly believes we can all be mediums, but it’s not a lifestyle for the weak as they say.

So much pain comes up, so much fear comes up, so much questioning and confusion comes up, but it’s all to be revealed and healed for myself and my family lines. Even if they don’t know it I’m healing for them too.

A couple of months back I got a bunch of photographs of my dads side of the family and it’s been a beautiful gift to connect faces to the spirits I have felt for so long.

Sometimes spirit is unconditional love and sometimes spirit requires a little condition, so remember you don’t have to speak with, connect with, honor every ancestors or loved one, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and it’s quite a full time gig.

Mediumship isn’t solely for connecting with the dead.

I use mediumship in my business, in my cooking, in my artwork, in my chores, in my garden, in my outfit choices, in my conversations.

And of course I use it in my readings !

I use mediumship to connect with loved ones and ancestors, to connect with spirit guides, angels, cosmic beings, elemental energies, future selves, past selves, animals, and probably a lot more things I’m forgetting about.

Grace’s Akashic Records Readings look at your personal Akashic Records, and send Energy Healing into those psychic spaces to shift reoccurring patterns from the past, blocks and doubts that you hold in the present, helping release fears that stop you from moving forward in your life and emotions and giving us glimpses at the future.

Reiki as a Psychic Catalyst

When I first started offering Reiki sessions I would get words popping in my head, teeth, left ankle, small intestines, 4th ventricle (apparently there are 2 ventricles divided into 4 parts 🙂)

At first I didn’t understand what this meant, I have always been a person that seemingly random thoughts came to.

Later I realized this was Claircognizance aka Psychic Knowing.

When this first started happening in my healing sessions, I wasn’t sure what it meant, I wasn’t sure if I should mention it to the client, or if this was information for myself.

But as I slowly started to share the “random” things that came forward to my clients it all began to make a little more sense.

Telling them, Something came up around your 🦷 teeth, and hearing back, ohh wow, I have a big oral surgery coming up, or wow I can’t believe you mentioned that, my teeth have been a reoccurring issue for years.

sometimes you really don’t know the significance of the messages you receive until you share.

I’ve shared visions with people that helped them move on, that have come true, that are real and physically happening in the body and this little message has helped them figure out the root of an issue.

My work is very rewarding not only for my clients but also for myself

Building a lexicon of understanding, when I see this, when I feel this, when I hear this, when I know this, I MUST SHARE because the message is sent to ME for a reason

I am a messenger, and I resisted this for a while, doing Reiki sessions and hearing and feeling so much but not saying it, once I started telling my clients what I received around their energy work, things started opening up not only for me but for my clients too.

My guides started talking to me through their bodies, and my own.

Sometimes pain is pain, you fell & smashed your ankle, you have food poisoning, a condition or illness, sometimes that pain brings a message with it.

Quickly the messages evolved beyond just the body, and I started seeing the soul, layers of perception, lifetimes, spirit guides, loved ones, it all came pouring in.

Reiki was a catalyst for that.

Shame Part 2: Spirit School Origins

Shame Part 2:

In 2017 I got my esthetician’s license, learning skincare, makeup and waxing skills.

Originally I had planned to get my license to do makeup professionally, but quickly realized skincare was more my speed, I do loveeee makeup tho 💋

As a finished up my licensing program I was very lucky and got a job pretty quickly after graduating, throwing myself into the ring, I was ready ishhh to start taking clients.

One of the most popular services in waxing is of course, the Brazilian Wax, and I quickly learned how to preform one properly, effectively and comfortably. Thanks to Heidi @junebugskinbody for teaching me and being my first boss 💜

Now waxing is not a service I currently offer but not for the reason you might think.

I stopped offering body waxing because it was sooo uncomfortable.

Again not in the way you might think.

I have been a person dealing with physical pain for a long time, reiki and my spiritual development journey has helped me endlessly in healing and dealing with this pain.

But the body waxing was extremely exhausting for my personal body, so I stopped offering it.

But here’s what I did learn when doing Brazilians and here’s why it helped me begin to heal shame around my body, especially around my naked body.

Every person with a vagina is different !!!! All vaginas look different, hair grows in all sorts of ways, the skin around and on your vagina varies, hyper and hypo pigmentation is normal, scarring, ingrowns, everyone has something. Not to mention the butthole ! Wow 😮 but for real, doing this service helped me understand and see, my body is beautiful and so is everyone else’s.

Then I began to do spray tanning,I have always been more of the pale emo gothy type and didn’t really know what to expect.

When you do a spray tan the client is completely naked 🤭🤭

Bending over moving around, all the angles, you know what I’m saying.

And these beautiful women did not give one fuck or one shit about their body being naked, which inspired me to see it’s OKAY to be naked, to have a body, for people to see your body. And naked bodies are notttttt inherently sexual.

This is where the healing continued….

Shame Part 1: spirit School Origins

Shame Part 1:

There was a time in my life where I would never even consider posting this picture, even though it’s beautiful, because of how I felt about my body.

Specifically that my breasts are showing🤭heaven forbid I exist in a body 😡🥲🤪

I remember when I was in middle school going out to a diner with friends and some older guys, which in itself is a little sus but alas, that’s not the topic of discussion today.

I remember buying this silky tank top with cute flowers 🌺 and thinking I’m living my Marisa cooper fantasy.

One of the guys commented on my boobs, how they were falling out. And it wasn’t necessarily a negative comment, it was more of a 😏😏😏😏😏 attempt at flirty type of comment.

And I felt such immediate shame, never wore that tanktop again, and began to cover up my body, with unseasonable scarves and strange combinations of layers.

Even before that I remember when my boobs started growing, seemingly overnight, I remember getting stretch marks all over my breasts, cause they grew so fast, and I felt disgusting, ashamed and I began to dissociate further from my body.

Around the same time, I began self harming because it was the only way I knew at the time that I felt a release from, that I felt alive from, and soon began to cover up my arms and legs too because I didn’t want anyone to see the effects of this habit.

For years I didn’t change in front of anyone, like hiding behind a towel in the gym locker room, wearing the same bra for weeks, even sleeping in it because I didn’t want anyone to see my body, my breasts especially.

In college I partied a lot, dissociating in different ways, my friend took a picture of my body, just a little silly picture of my back with face paint and you could see my butt 😫😫😫😫 my friends teased me because I was clenching my butt cheeks so hard, not even realizing I had been doing this my whole life, clenching my butt, my shoulders, my teeth. Avoiding any feeling if I clenched and held on tight enough, I wouldn’t have to experience release. Shedding, letting go.

I was so afraid if I let go, nothing would come back to me and again I would be alone. Which was one of my biggest fears…

Im still learning

To see in layers

To breath underwater

It’s like a language unspoken

And suddenly you’re in a room and everyone is speaking Italian and you can’t actually speak Italian but you get a general idea of what they are conveying enough to laugh at the right moments and pause inquisitively when appropriate

Like walking in rubber boots too big a size

I’m just getting comfortable

And honestly I’m not really scared of youuuuu

It’s the bumps in the night

Made by humans that ring a chill up my spine

So when I see you

plain as day

Eyes wide open

Real eyes

Actual eyes

Seeing you

As you see me

Looking

At each other

I’m nervous what I’m hearing isn’t you

But I’m open to melting away

That feeling

And finding out a little bit more

What it means to communicate

With the other side

I wrote this today in the purple hot tub water looking at the stars and seeing a little more than I saw the day before and the day before and the day before

Magic isn’t separate from reality

It’s all those little moments of in between

When the stars shine a little brighter

And you feel the breeze in your hair

The songs on the radio at the coffee shop remind you of someone

It’s all those moments

I’m dedicated to deepening my connection to spirit which in turn deepens my connection to self and sometimes when it grows louder I’m little scared

and maybe that’s a good thing 🪟

From Fear to Love: spirit School origins

In 2012 I thought the world was gonna end.

Not in a consciousness upgrade, ascension kinda way 🤪 like I seriously spent nights awake, in fear that one night I would go to sleep and that would be it. 

This was my life in lots of ways, scared of volcanos erupting and destroying my home as a child growing up in Connecticut 🙃

Scared of something always something. 

Constant fear 😰 anxiety 👁 

Just that something, anything, could happen to me, and I would 🪦 die  or worse other people would 🪦 die and I would be here alone 🪟

Irrational fears of purgatory, that my family would be in heaven and I would be alone forever with the babies 👶 or whatever I was told in elementary school by someone who learned something in Sunday school about baptism 

Most of life my spent outside of my body, floating around avoiding pain both inside my body and inside my mind 

In 2016 I learned about Reiki Energy Healing 

I have said it before, I will say it again, Reiki saved my life.

Reiki came into my life like a whirlpool of love 💕 and opened a doorway in my heart ♥️ that the fear could crawl out of. 

I began to see the possibility slowly, like I was in a dark room for years and I finally figured out the lamp I had plugged in was plugged into an outlet that wasn’t working. 

That I could, in fact move my lamp to a different outlet. 

Moving from fear to love. 

When I first started exploring spirituality the word happiness made me sick, the word peace felt fake and gross and stupid. Impossible. 

Big strides later, I don’t feel this way anymore, I feel joy 🥲 presence 

It’s not every moment and I would never want it to be, life is all about experiencing and healing to me is about being okay with the way we feel now and not wanting to constantly cover up our emotions. 

Reiki helped me begin to discover my own magic, and soon I was down stream of spiritual healing, psychic awakenings, realizing I was a medium and so much more.

What is Reiki? + My Reiki Story

Once I started doing the Akashic Records Readings I stopped needing to use all the tools, the crystals, the cards, the pendulum, not always necessary, once I started channeling messages directly from the records. Let me tell you, I LOVE THE Akashic Records AND I AM SO THRILLED TO DO THOSE TYPE OF READINGS FOR CLIENTS AND MYSELF butttt I did miss the tools sometimes, the joy of pulling cards and the message showing me directly what I was thinking. Here’s a little description for you of what the Intuitive Sessions look like: 

Sessions are Intuitive, which means they will be different for each individual and session. What can you do in an Akashic Records Reading? 

So of course, like all healing work it is very much individual to the practitioner and to the clients needs/desires. What questions you ask as the client shape the reading, and what information that comes forward is what is important for you the day your reading is scheduled. The Akashic Records holds endless information so no two readings are really ever the same. Sometimes we get messages more than once, that could mean we haven't worked through that lesson yet, we haven’t understood it yet, but it could also be for clarity and sometimes for you as the client to hear something you already knew outloud from another person can be the final acceptance for you to see the truth or you to take action on a situation. 

In the Akashic Records we can connect with Spirit Guides, Angels, Cosmic Energy, Loved ones and receive healing and messages. We can look into past lives, memories, inner child healing, future timeline manifestations, meaning we can see multiple futures and much more. In my experience of Akashic Records readings I have seen clients past lives as trees, as aliens, energetic light forms, animals, humans living in Ancient Lands that make no sense if you look at history books, I also have gotten information about career stuff and money, relationships, healing codependency, physical healing and more! The Akashic Records can be surreal and magical but it’s also grounded and informational, even what we would think of as mundane, but all that information from the weirdest to the most simple can be profound.

I also wanted to share with y’all I am doing A BIGGGGG INSTAGRAM MEDITATION CHALLENGE, my biggest yet! Honestly I’m a little nervous cause sometimes consistency is not my strong suit, but I want to turn that story around, so I AM CHALLENGING MYSELF within this challenge to show up and be here to support myself as I support others!
